Kecerdasan Akademik
Sebagai prasarat mutlak untuk bisa mengikuti seleksi awal USM STAN adalah kemampuan akademik, yaitu berupa nila rata-rata ujian tertulis minimal 7,0. Entah itu ada nilai 5, 9 dan seterusnya, yang penting memenuhi minimal rata-rata yang dipersyaratkan.

Setelah Anda memenuhi persyaratan ini, baru bisa mendaftar sebagai peserta ujian, namun ini baru permulaan dan baru memenuhi syarat menjadi peserta, nah untuk memperbesar peluang diterima di STAN ada beberapa lagi kemampuan yang dibutuhkan diantaranya kecerdasan emosi dan mental serta kecerdasan spiritual.

Persiapan secara akademik yang perlu dipersiapkan sejak dini, antara lain :

Potensi Akademik & Kemampuan Umum, yang dapat ditingkatkan dan dilatih sejak dini dengan mempelajari buku persiapan masuk stan yang banyak diterbitkan alumni stan, sebaiknya pilihlah buku persiapan/kumpulan soal yang tingkat kesalahannya kecil dan yang berkualitas. Kemampuan umum dapat ditingkatkan dengan mengikuti perkembangan isue terkini dari televisi, koran, radio, dll.

Bahasa Inggris, yang dapat ditingkatkan dengan mengikuti kursus-kursus yang banyak diselenggarakan lembaga nonformal.

Bahasa Indonesia, Materi bahasa Indonesia biasanya porsinya paling sedikit, namun juga perlu dipersiapkan dengan baik agar dapat mendongkrak total nilai, kelihatannya Bahasa Indonesia sangat mudah, namun jika tidak teliti, banyak peserta yang terjebak, oleh karena itu miliki pula buku pedoman ejaan yang disempurnakan.

Kecerdasan Emosional dan Mental

Meskipun secara akademik,nilai yang kita peroleh sangat bagus, namun jika saat ujian tidak siap secara emosional dan mental, mungkin panik, grogi, dan lain-sebagainya, hal ini akan sangat mempengaruhi hasil akhir yang kita peroleh, karena akan memecah konsentrasi dan akhirnya tidak bisa mengerjakan soal dengan baik.

Kecerdasan Spiritual

Menurut penulis, justru kecerdasan spiritual ini merupakan faktor paling menentukan. Sepandai apapun jika Tuhan tidak menghendaki maka mustahil bisa sukses dalam ujian masuk STAN, namun walaupun secara akademis biasa-biasa saja, tidak menutup kemungkinan bisa diterima di STAN. Oleh karena itu selain persiapan fisik, mental emosional, jangan lupakan persiapan spiritual.

Apa itu persiapan spiritual?
